Animating the Golden Rule ... An Introduction
The Golden Rule, known also as the Ethic of Reciprocity, is arguably the most consistent, most prevalent and most universal ethical principle in history. Many regard it as the most concise and general principle of ethics.
In July 2000, Scarboro Missions published the Golden Rule Poster featuring the Golden Rule in 13 religions. A poster of The Golden Rule hangs in the Vatican and the United Nations and is a world best seller.
In 2009 Tina Petrova and Scarboro Missions made a movie about the workshops that are realized to animate the Golden Rule: Through self-directed explorations in art, music, rap and drama skits, teenage youth explore ways of embodying the core values of the Golden Rule as expressed in 13 of the world's great religions. “Do unto others as you would have them do to you ...” propels the viewer on a global journey of discovery, giving life to what many consider to be the most universal moral teaching throughout history.
