INTERFAITH ENCOUNTER EVENINGS
To mark the occasion of the UN Interfaith Harmony Week 2015, The Global Ethic Foundation organized an interfaith encounter evening with religious representatives from the Tübingen region in Germany. Since then these evenings have become regular events.
Thus far Baha’i, Buddhists, Christians, Jews, Muslims and Sikhs have all taken part in these events, which first took place at the Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen in Germany and later at the individual religious communities’ places.
The goal of these evenings is to get to know each other and exchange ideas in order to facilitate interfaith dialogue. In addition to theological and spiritual topics, participants discuss their self-concept and the role of religious communities at the municipal level as well as their social responsibility. Through the encounter evenings, participants learn about each other, create mutual trust and thereby find ways to peacefully live together right where they are.
