The Global Ethic Project is gaining increasing presence in Luxembourg and has become more and more popular, particularly in the area of education.
The initial contact to Luxembourg was in the context of the Interfaith Run, which has taken place every year since 2009 to benefit the Global Ethic Foundation. Representatives of the foundation have been able to establish valuable networks with diverse religious communities there.
Since 2016, the new subject Life and Society has replaced the former religion and ethics classes in Luxembourg schools. This new subject offers diverse starting points for jumping into the theme of global ethics. Since its adoption in schools, teachers from various types of schools have been trained by German Global Ethic Foundation staff with the specific goal of the education authorities to familiarize as many teachers as possible with this issue.
In addition to diverse public lectures by foundation staff, the exhibit World Religions - Universal Peace - Global Ethic has been shown in over 15 locations throughout Luxembourg, informing people about global ethics issues.
